Oskaloosa Physical education course purpose
K-2 – Students will develop physical skills and begin to demonstrate various levels of fitness.
3-5 – Students will show improvement in physical fitness levels along with necessary skills to perform a variety of physical activities while continuing regular participation in physical activity.
6 – Students will participate in various team sports/leisure activities while showing beginning sports skills. They will measure and show improvement of their physical fitness level. They will demonstrate basic water safety skills.
7-8 – The students will participate in various team sports/leisure activities while showing intermediate sports skills. They will measure and show improvement of their physical fitness level.
9-10 – Students will:
Improve fitness levels
Improve knowledge and skill levels of activities
Apply safety procedures and practices in Strength & Conditioning activities
Apply healthy choices in maintaining the wellness of themselves and others
11-12 – Students will:
Improve fitness levels
Improve knowledge and skill levels of activities
Apply safety procedures and practices in Strength & Conditioning activities
